WPS for Stainless steel
We have expanded our standard procedure database to include stainless steel, which will benefit you and all of our other customers. We hope that you will use the new welding procedures and find them useful in your daily production going forward.
Stainless steel procedures for TIG 141
- The standard procedures cover material group 8.1 according to ISO/TR 15608.
- All gases used in the TIG welding procedures are I1 according to 14175:2008.
- The standard procedures are carried out with welding process 141 according to EN ISO 4063:2011.
- All welding positions are according to EN ISO 6947:2011.
- The standard procedures are carried out in accordance with ISO 15612 and 15614-1:2017.
- WPQR is carried out for butt weld pipes (BW) to pipes (BW). BW, Pipe to pipe covers single and multi-string edge (FW) and butt (BW) seams, as well as pipe to plate. See validity range on WPS.
The standard procedures apply to all Migatronic TIG machines and cover the following:
- Material thicknesses from 1 to 14mm
- Pipe diameter ≥ ø24mm
Stainless steel procedures for MAG 135
- The standard procedures cover material group 8.1 according to ISO/TR 15608.
- All gases used in the MAG welding procedures are M21 according to 14175:2008.
- The standard procedures are carried out with welding process 135 according to EN ISO 4063:2011.
- All welding positions are according to EN ISO 6947:2011.
- The standard procedures are carried out in accordance with ISO 15612 and 15614-1:2017.
- WPQR is carried out for butt weld plates (BW) to plates (BW). BW, Plate to Plate covers single and multi-string edge (FW) seams. See validity range on WPS.
The standard procedures apply to all Migatronic MIG machines and cover the following:
- Material thicknesses from 3 to 20mm
- Pipe diameter ≥ ø500mm Pos. PC – PA ≥ø150mm.
